Big Sister is Watching by Aerisonus Big Sister is Watching by Aerisonus

Ahem. So yeah. :D Big Sister. Still incomplete, but I'm still very pleased with it. The score so far is ~85 hours, and ~$550. I got through this costume on hours of House, Futurama, Mythbusters, and Red vs Blue. The smell of paper mache is now oddly comforting.

Debuted at Bakuretsucon '10. Along with my Little Sister, we won Judge's Choice in Walk On and Hall Cosplay medals, but were unfortunately ineligible for construction judging because the contest was Japanese fandoms only. ^^; Whoops.

Also I suck at titles.

This is really awesome. How did you make all of the things that you made? O,O I'm looking to cosplay as a Big Sister, too, but I have no clue how to do about doing anything.

Most of the armor bits of this costume were made from paper mache, sometimes around a wire frame or around a giant balloon to help its shape, and then gone over with some automotive stuff I've forgotten the name of. Most of the raised details are done in fun foam and posterboard. I hope that helps a bit!

The helmet and whatnot is mostly paper mache, covered in car body filler. The rest is stuff like poster board, plastic, paperclay, and LEDs. :D Thank you! I hope you get to cosplay Big Sister too!
